Monday can sometimes feel a little unappealing, as it’s the start of the new week. This class is designed to help to motivate you, to make a positive start to your week, starting with an “intention” about how you want your week to be. The session is suitable for those new to yoga and seasoned practitioners alike.
Moving stretch is a form of resistance stretching that can help you to move in an intuitive way, helping you to become stronger and more flexible.. Using your body resistance to help to re-condition our fascia (the tissue that gives us our shape), freeing us to move better, feel lighter, taller and can lead to better posture.
Mobilising your joints and checking in with how your body is feeling. This is a full body movement practice, ideal to help you to feel energised and ready for the day ahead.
An early evening yoga session, moving your body in ways that feel nourishing to ease up after your day, whether that’s a day at work, of being active or sitting. It’s about connecting with yourself and being guided through a yoga practice, with plenty of options and spaces to stop and relax.
Exploring ways to move with ease, building strength and functional flexibility in our bodies, whilst inviting our nervous system and mind to settle and be soothed! This class will usually begin with floor based movement and breath, then move through sitting or all fours to standing and end with a short relaxation. Offering a chance to bring body and mind into balance.
Moving the whole body whilst seated, we mobilise the joints and work on our strength and flexibility. We practice breath and relaxation techniques as well as co-ordination activities. This is a class suitable for those who can’t easily or don’t want to get up and down from the floor, a class packed with loving kindness for ourselves.
This class is for the early risers, starting with gentle movement, towards a sequence-based class, to wake you up and find your glow for the day ahead. Finishing with an intention setting guided meditation.
We have all heard of the benefits of regular meditation, a powerful but subtle practise. This 30-minute session will give you the opportunity to try some new, or re-visit different meditation tools and techniques. Although often a solitary practice for many, the chance to spend time with others in stillness and silence can be very valuable. You will be guided into each technique and then given time to practise. It might be that these sessions help you to find time for a more regular practise. You are welcome to sit/ lie down or even move around if that feels more comfortable for you.
Often themed (don’t worry- you CHOOSE whether to work with the theme), Yin yoga (using principles from Chinese medicine such as meridian/ energy lines in the body, where we remain in positions for some time.
A guided relaxation. A time to deeply relax and take your awareness on a journey around your body and mind.
An opportunity to work with breath, whether lying/ sitting or moving (your choice). Pranayama can be a healing practise, a way to calm or invigorate ourselves. Together we will explore and practise various breathing techniques. In each session you will be guided through different techniques and then given time to practise.
